Erectile dysfunction medicines took in Glengormley

Large amounts of unlicensed medications have been taken by Department of Health officials during a search of a home in Glengormley.

A guy was spoken with by department officers about unlawfully importing and subsequently supplying unlicensed via the web.

The 47-year-old was likewise questioned about other medicine offenses.

He will now be the subject of a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

The search was brought out by the department's Medicines Regulatory Group.

Its senior enforcement office, Peter Moore, stated: "It is crucial that we get the message across that unlicensed medicines can be harmful.

"These kinds of items being offered, typically online, have gone through no quality assurance and there can be no warranty about their security.

"You merely do not understand what you are taking or the conditions these products were made in. More significantly, you do not know the result drugs like this might have on your health."
